As I have posted earlier there are serious problems with Bill 109, the More Homes For Everyone Act.    Its disrespectful of municipalities, its undermines the ability of municipalities to plan sustainable communities and it is not an answer to the housing crisis.  The fact that it received royal assent BEFORE the consultation period ended is also objectionable. At the April 25 Council meeting the report with Staff’s assessment of it was received and endorsed by Council.  In addition Council endorsed a resolution to the Province asking the Province to reopen the Bill to consult with the municipalities.  Here is the press release with the resolution.
