Businesses Helping Our Community

We have seen local businesses re-formatting the way they carry out their business in order to protect customers and suppliers by providing special hours for seniors and easy access to sanitizers while in their stores etc.   We have seen businesses stepping up to provide support for those in need.  e.g. 5 c orporations (Mattamy, Treasure Hill, Magna, Remington, King Station) re-directed $6,000, originally planned for the traditional Canada Day celebration in Kettleby,  to the King Township Food Bank. e.g. Scruffy Duck in Schomberg is offering free soup or stew once a week to those in need.  The lastest is Kingbridge Conference Center and Hotel has re-purposed itself and partnered with the Salvation Army  to provide temporal transitional shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness.  I am sure that there are numerous other examples throughout King as I know that our community is one that cares.
