Feb 6, 2022 | The Issues | 0 comments

On the February 7 Council agenda there is a report reviewing the status of various capital projects which are underway. It’s being recommended to close 12 projects and to transfer back to original sources of funding the surplus $609,000 dollars. It also recommends how to use the $1,622,298 received from the Province under the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund; The latter is in place to provide funding for small, rural communities to develop and renew their infrastructure. In addition, of interest is the summary of active and open capital projects. Of particular interest to ward 5 there is the Saint Andrews Park upgrade, playground infrastructure at Genview Park, the leash free dog park, and the second phase of Kettle Lake Park. As always request for deputations and or to provide comments to counsel emails can be sent to clerks@king.ca by noon February 7.
