On 5/30 Council agenda there is a report presenting a new by-law addressing the need to establish standards and subsequent enforcement for more matters affecting the appearance of properties. What is proposed is not a change in standards but rather how those standards are identified and thereafter enforced. Outcomes will be faster response time to complaints; in addition it will be easier to understand the enforcement methodology. Please review the proposed changes and provide comments; intent is to present a final report and draft by-law at the July 11 Council meeting.
Having read the report I think this is an excellent improvement for King. As reviewed, best practises from other municipalities are being re-applied. Here is the notice for this report.
