On September 12 Council agenda there is a motion by Mary Asselstine, which I am delighted to second, that there be a report done to review the benefits and feasibility of preparing a Heritage Conservation District Plan for Schomberg.  I believe there is strong reason to initiate the work in order to create a HCD in Schomberg.  I say this not just because I am enthusiastic about heritage buildings; rather, the vibe of Schomberg is its Main Street with its heritage buildings and the heritage buidlings in close proximity to the Main Street.  A critical piece of the preparation work for a HCD is determining its boundaries.  It will take some work i.e. resources.  Hence its very prudent that the motion calls for there to be assessment of costs and timing.
