On June 1 Council agenda there is a report recommending a non- competitive extension of the current waste collection agreement with GFL for an additional maximum period of one year and nine months. As noted this does represent a total maximum cost increase of $179,639 above the base budget. I’m very pleased that we continue to work with the N6 for this contract.  The report reviews quite adequately why this extension is required and it certainly sounds very appropriate. There has been effort made to make the increase above the base budget as small as possible.
