Building broadband capability in King is critical; there are some significant gaps today but there are some huge advance coming.  I am anticipating a very interesting deputation by the Business Development Director of Vianet* at our Monday Council meeting.   At minimum I am anticipating hearing an update on their initiative to install fiber along Jane Street; I know it has now been done but now what?  In addition we are going to hear about their application to a federal government Small Communities Fund.  This deputation is schedule early in the Council agenda; if your schedule allows do drop into the Council at 6 PM on Monday 11/27.
