Keeping Safe in our Parks

To protect the greater community some very tough decisions are being made. As it is not possible to sanitize playground equipment Township is recommending that people do not use the equipment.  Signs are being erected at the playgrounds.  The parks are not closed but it is important that we do not use that space for connecting and getting close with friends and neighbours.  Even outside its important to maintain distance of 6 ft (2 meters).   As indicated on the signs the trails throughout King are open and provide good opportunity for a walk.  Yesterday I walked most of the King City trail on west side of Keele with a friend but we walked apart as recommended. Others were out doing same:  getting some exercise, marvelling at the huge wetland in the core of King City and greeting each other at a distance.
