Residents and business owners who are proud to say that their address is Kettleby may continue to say this even though their postal code is changing.

Canada Post has sent letters to people with Kettleby in their address advising them of new postal codes effective August 12, 2012.  They have been advised that mail showing their current postal code will continue to be delivered for one year thereafter but at that point the new code must be used.  These residents have the choice of defining their place or residence as being Kettleby or King.

The communication from Canada Post was not clear in identifying the choice available.  The prospect of  dropping Kettleby created great unhappiness for very understandable reasons.  I am very appreciative of the persons who thought to call Canada Post to clarify the instructions.  I have asked Canada Post to send a second letter clarifying the change and the choice.
