In the last couple weeks there have been several meetings to start preparations for sponsoring Syrian refugee families in King.  The level of interest, the number of people committing to use their talents & skills and time is truly heart warming.  The next meeting is Wednesday, January 6 2016 7PM at the King City Seniors’ Center on Fisher Street.  If you are already engaged and have joined one of the groups (e.g. fund raising or welcome & support etc.) OR if you have not yet decided how you want to help this meeting will be of interest to you.  And if you have not yet been paying much attention to this initiative this is a good opportunity to catch up; as background I suggest you read this brief article by one of the persons involved in the original planning group.
