Knocking On Doors to be re-elected

I am into full campaign mode and am knocking on doors across ward 5.  I am delighted that nearly 50% of the time I do find residents at home and am able, at minimum, to introduce myself.  And, often there is opportunity for a conversation about issues and what my priorities are for 2nd term if re-elected.

It is satisfying to get confirmation that priorities I have identified are ones that are expressed by residents.  Most often I hear that it is understood that King City is growing and will grow more; the concerns are about the kind of development and how much more.  Traffic is a big issue:  the amount, the congestion, the speed.  And given the increasing traffic, frustration about the lack of public transit infrastructure in King is growing.  I have also heard that residents want the rural, the really green part of King to be protected.

In addition to these policy type issues, some residents have given me very specific questions which I will be answering once I have the information.

I won’t be able to get to every residence in ward 5 and if I do get to your home, you may not be home.  So please, if you would like to meet contact me to set up a time convenient for you.

To learn more about me, what I did during 1st term on Council and my platform for 2nd term, refer to the e-page at top of website entitled “about.”
