May 27 COW Agenda Items of Interest

There are two Committee of Whole (COW) agenda items of particular interest on Monday May 27.

At a working session of the COW there will be a presentation by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC).  As it is a working session the public is able to attend to listen but cannot ask questions.  The presentation is a general information session

The working session begins at 5 PM.

1st agenda item on the Committee of Whole (COW) is a report on the Schomberg Agricultural Arena and Community Centre Repurposing.  You can read the report here.

As you will read the submissions from the Expressions of Interest (EOI) have been assessed; and now Staff is recommending that we should proceed with a Request for Proposal (RFP).  This is a very important initiative for King as this facility/property needs to generate $1.5 million to complete the funding formula for the Trisan Centre.  And in addition, as confirmed by the extensive public consultation process there is passion about the future possibilities of the property.

At the COW members of the public can make deputations; if you wish to do so sign in with the secretary.  COW will begin shortly after 6 PM.
