As I recently wrote, we were at a serious cross roads with the developer using a portion of our Museum for its sales office. As summarized in a report going to Council 2/24 there is now a basis for a productive negotiation with them. First, very importantly the Museum Board has approved a 6 month extension with conditions. And secondly I think the conditions are very valuable ones for us. The enhancements to be done by the developer will provide worthwhile infrastructure. To review a couple: having parking lots (front and back) with permeable pavement will be very welcomed by all visitors; and installation of electrical services to two of the buildings will increase opportunities for use. For Genview, the developer, they have the benefit of maintaining their current effective sales office for another 6 months.
