At the October 14 council meeting a strategy was approved for the Nobleton Community Park Revitalization Strategy. The Staff report was not approved as presented in the report; one of the changes was direction to Staff to “to undertake a community survey, with an education component, regarding the future outcome of the Nobleton Community Hall and report back to Council within two weeks.” (To review all of the recommendations approved see the minutes for the meeting which were approved at the Oct. 30 Council meeting) To participate in the survey and learn about the Nobleton Community Hall go to the speaking page.
The subject of heritage conservation is not a simple one. First there is the question whether you believe that knowing and/or remembering your history is important. And if you value it there is the question as to how to do so. And then what do you do when it interferes with what one wants to do today or tomorrow? I anticipate that these are some of the questions which will be discussed at the upcoming heritage conservation workshops being held in November.
