Welcome to my blog! MY primary objective is to alert my constituents and others in King Township about issues being reviewed at the upcoming Council meetings. I do this as I believe the quality of Council decisions is enhanced when the public is engaged. I hope that residents will make deputations and/or send emails to Council to express their opinion and/or to ask important questions. Also, I include notice of meetings and events which I think are particularly important. I welcome your comments, whether you agree or not with me, and only edit to eliminate inappropriate language.

Nature Walk with TRCA Saturday 10/19
Saturday Oct. 19th 1-2:30 pm there is a walk guided by TRCA leaving from Kettle Lake Park (south of King Road/east of Burns). This is a wonderful way to experience and learn about the natural heritage in King City. TRCA requests that you let them know of you intent to join the walk as there is a limitation on numbers. Green Development Standards
On Oct. 7 Council agenda there is a report presenting a draft proposal for a Sustainable Development Standards Program. Oct. 21 at Council meeting there will be a public meeting regarding a zoning bylaw application for a property at southeast corner of Carmichael and Keele.
