Welcome to my blog! MY primary objective is to alert my constituents and others in King Township about issues being reviewed at the upcoming Council meetings. I do this as I believe the quality of Council decisions is enhanced when the public is engaged. I hope that residents will make deputations and/or send emails to Council to express their opinion and/or to ask important questions. Also, I include notice of meetings and events which I think are particularly important. I welcome your comments, whether you agree or not with me, and only edit to eliminate inappropriate language.

Partnering with Mobility Matters for Seniors
Township has partnered with Mobility Matters to provide exercise program for Seniors from the safey of their own homes. To register for these free classes and/or to get more information contact darlene@mmphysio.ca. Rural Zoning Bylaw…one more meeting opportunity
There is one more session of the 1st round of public consultation meetings for the Rural Zoning Bylaw Zoning Bylaw. Go to speaking@king.ca to register. That is also where you can find the draft discussion paper on the topic, This final meeting is Wednesday Dec. 9 6-8PM; you need to register to receive the link for this virutal meeting.

Zoning Bylaw Amendment
On Monday's Council agenda there is report recommending approval of zoning bylaw amendment to provide greater definition and clarity about where cannabis production facilities can be located. As reviewed in the report the challenges to regulating cannabis will also be addressed in the rural zoning bylaw process which is now starting. For more background see here.
