There is progress, albeit slow progress, in providing more parking for GO train station users.
Municipal property at the north end of West Street is currently used by First Student business; they have been advised of need to be looking for an alternative so that the space can be reassigned for GO train commuter parking.
Despite no response yet from York Region to our resolution asking for shuttle bus service we are working with Metrolinx about establishing a bus terminal “drop off/pick up” turnaround at the GO Station Lands.

It has now been years and the King City parking lot has not expanded and are therefore being bought up. Looks like the current parking lot spots are about 60% reserved and the rest are quickly selling out! Who can I write to to get some parking relief?
Hello Pamela, I am aware that GO train station parking is very limited. Are you aware of the parking available at the church just east of Keele on Burton Grove. Township is continuing to work with Metrolinx to provide a solution but none of the possible opportunities are “quick fixes.” Suggest you write Metrolinx; good for them to hear directly from commuters.
