Phosphorus Reduction for Lake Simcoe

At October 18 council there is a resolution on the subject of a building a Holland Marsh polder phosphorus recycling facility on the Holland river. Once built this facility will remove some of the phosphorus coming from the Holland Marsh polders each year.  As indicated in the resolution what is needed is funding support from the province; to date there is commitment from the federal government.  Councillor Eek put this motion forward and I am very pleased to second it.  Here is the resolution. This evening there will be a presentation by Mike Rabeau, from York region (Capital Planning and Delivery); he will be talking about this facility. For those interested I encourage you to tune into the council meeting this evening.
