I say well done to all those who have voiced their opposition to carving out the Greenbelt. Its our opposition as shown in rallies & protests, in letters and on petitions which has caused premier Ford to back pedal. Victory celebrations are entirely appropriate; we now have to monitor how the corrections are actually done.
I am entirely in support of any action that affects change to the Greenbelt.
It was the people that made Ford change his mind. Bravo to all that spoke out to make that happen.
Agree Jacquie that the people’s attention and pressure was instrumental in reversal of the plan to carve out 15 parcels. People need to continue to pay attention as individual projects can come along which do not respect what we want to protect for the future.
