On May 25 Council agenda there is a report covering a report an an application for a Zoning Bylaw Amendment for a Development at the northwest corner of King Rd. and Royal Ave. in Nobleton. The application is to facilitate the construction of a 5 storey apartment building containing a total of 36 dwelling units. The proposed building would be a mix of one, two and three bedroom units. The site is in the Village Core which permits a range of commercial, residential, institutional and mixed uses; its policies enable residential intensification in a manner that is compatible with the small town character.
As indicated in the report there are still many significant planning and land use matters under review. The report does include elevation plans. I do not believe that the proposed architecture is compatible with the small town character. My comment is based solely on what I perceive to be what you would see on the street; I have no idea on how it has an impact on outdoor amenities etc. I am interested to know whether the proposal is for rental units or condo. To see all the appendices go to Council agenda and scroll to 6.3.
This is a statutory public meeting and accordingly there will be no decisions made by Council .
