Stateview Subdivision Agreement

Sep 11, 2021 | Debbie in the Community | 3 comments

On September 13 Council agenda there is a report with the proposed subdivision agreement to enable the development southeast of Keele and Dennison i.e.  Stateview Homes. This development was approved by Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) (formerly called OMB and then LPAT) June 2021.  This development has been very contentious and I have certainly posted a number of times as it has gone through the process. The details as to what the development will actually look like have yet to be finalized; this will occur in the site plan which will be brought to Council in the future for approval. The site plan is well underway; in the last week the developer, planning staff, interested public, Mayor and King City Councillors met to review and discuss a draft.

Very frustrating — what’s the point of bureaucratic processes if a developer will just override what a community and it’s constituents want/need.

    This is a disappointing outcome.

Guess we can chalk another development to Ford and his development buddies!!

Impossible to understand how the OLT could approve this
