The Township of King is updating its Stormwater Management Master Plan (SWMMP) and has announced commencement of the Study.  To learn more about process see the project page on speaking.king.  On that page you can subscribe for updates.  Ensuring that our stormwater infrastructure is adequate is critical taking into account development plans and climate change  such as more frequent and more intense storms.  

As noted on the project page a SWMMP is critical for

• Reducing flooding risks and protecting public safety.
• Preventing erosion and property damage.
• Safeguarding local watercourses and ecosystems.
• Supporting sustainable development while meeting regulatory requirements.
• Planning for climate change impacts, such as more frequent and intense storms.
