Thoughtful and Fun Events for early November Days in King

There are several remarkable events happening in King the 1st weekend of November.

Saturday, November 1 12 noon-6PM there is an open house to honour former Mayor Margaret Britnell whose service to King spanned over 27 years.  The event is at the King City Seniors’ Centre, 30 Fisher Street, King City.

Specifically, she was Mayor from 1973-1980 and 1988-1994; and was Councillor in 1970, 1985-1988 and 1994-1997.  Anyone who treasures that King is as it is, with its rich natural heritage, is in debt to this very strong woman.

Saturday, November 1, 1-4 PM is the Fall Bazar at Christ Church, Kettleby Church.  There is “the” place for delicious baking, having a cup of tea with sweets and perhaps buying a treasure or two.  Here are full details.

Sunday, November 2nd is the 1st event at the Museum in the “King Remembers Commemoration.”

  • And starting at noon you can visit the Museum to see the new exhibit of artifacts and loaned community memorabilia.
