In partnership with the Indigenous Action Committee, King is commemorating National Day for Truth and Reconciliation with a community gathering on Monday, Sept. 30 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the King Heritage & Cultural Centre This evening will honour residential school survivors, their families, and the children who never returned home, featuring: Indigenous speakers, traditional drumming, singing and dancing, cultural activities and crafts. I participated in the event at the the Heritage & Cultural Centre in 2022 and recall it being a very meaningful experience.
