Amended Countryside Zoning Bylaw

May 26, 2024 | Policies, Masterplans, The Issues | 0 comments

On May 27 Council agenda there is a report with a recommendation to approve Bylaw 2024-028 which will amend the Countryside Zoning Bylaw approved by Council in September 2022.  As reviewed the latter has not been in full force due to 17 appeals; since its approval the majority have since then been scoped. withdrawn, or resolved  which has allowed the Bylaw to come into effect broadly across the Township.  In parallel Staff have been reviewing the Bylaw ideentifying opportunities to improve the clarity and also identified where there had been some errors.  In March 2024 a public meeting was held  to present the amended bylaw and receive further feedback. At the end of the May 27 report there are several pages showing feedback from the public and how it has been acknowledged.  Its a great example of how citizens can add value to policies.

As always you can participate in the Council and make a deputation on this report in person or virtually.  For details on how to do please see Council agenda. Or you can send an email to clerks@king.ca by Monday noon with your comments, questions.
