On September 26 Council agenda there is a staff report recommending  that an exemption to the moratorium restricting Official Plan Amendments (OPA) applications be granted.  Unlike a similar request for an exemption about which I have written  previously regarding a proposal for a condo block on Dufferin, the recommendation is to grant the exemption only so that staff can accept the application and commence a review of it. Given the information in the report about the rationale I am comfortable with granting this exemption.
