Welcome to my blog! MY primary objective is to alert my constituents and others in King Township about issues being reviewed at the upcoming Council meetings. I do this as I believe the quality of Council decisions is enhanced when the public is engaged. I hope that residents will make deputations and/or send emails to Council to express their opinion and/or to ask important questions. Also, I include notice of meetings and events which I think are particularly important. I welcome your comments, whether you agree or not with me, and only edit to eliminate inappropriate language.

To clarify, inclusion of these...
Christmas in King Holiday Light Tour
November 30 is the last day to register your property on the Christmas in King Holiday Light Tour. As it is my habit to drive around King looking for beautiful light displays I am thrilled at this initiative. Buying the map will ensure that I don't miss any and it is such a fun way to support the King Township Food Bank.
Resolution: phase out gas fired generators for our electricity
At Monday November 30 Council there will be debate on a resolution I have tabled. To summarize: it is a motion to request the government of Ontario to find alternative solutions to future power demands; and very specifically to phase out gas fired generation by 2030. Viable, economically and environmentally responsible alternatives to the current plan are available. The current plan for...
Forestbrooks Hills subdivision in Schomberg
In November 30 Council there is a report recommending approval of a draft plan subdivision and the zoning bylaw for Forest Hills in Schomberg. This is phase 2 of what has already been built on Roselean Drive. As reviewed there has been significant public consultation prior to this stage. As earlier today (i.e. just before reading this report) I attended a public information meeting about...
