Parking for Visitors to Keele

If you are on Keele south side of King Road you have seen the excavation, in process, at All Saints Anglican Church.   Its for the construction of the storm sewer and sidewalk extension from Keele Street to Doctor’s Lane. It really is a win for everyone as the project includes conveying an easement along the northern boundary of the Church property to the Township.  The latter will allow the construction of a sidewalk to connect Keele Street to Doctors Lane. The sidewalk will include lighting and a chain-link fence to encourage visitors of the King City core area to park their vehicles at the King City Arena and Community Centre to reduce traffic congestion on Keele Street in line with the recommendations of the Township’s Core Area Parking Study. The latter was done in 2018; I have been anxious for this specific recommendation to be executed and finally all the necessary pieces have come together.
