Rural Public Transit

As I indicated on another post about how limited the plans are for rural public transit over the next 25 years it is a nice coincidence that Ontario  is seeking input on how to improve public transportation between communities.  I have no delusion that there should be a frequent shuttle bus from our villages to  Yonge Street, for example;  but, I do think that some sort of service is a reasonable goal.  Given communication technology today, let alone what it will be in 2025 there should be some strategic planning to change the status quo.    If you are interested here is link to Environmental Registry for more information and a means for providing your input.  Submissions will be accepted until 8/22.  There is a very informative discussion paper about intercity bus transportation when you go to registry…have a look.
