On November 10 Council agenda there is a staff report recommending approval of a zoning bylaw amendment to enable the establishment of a i) Winery, Cidery, Distillery or micro brewery as an agriculture- related use and ii) on farm shop and cafe as an on- farm diversified use. This new business is proposed for a property currently used for agriculture purposes with an existing greenhouse on Graham side Rd. West of Dufferin Street enabling appropriate diversification on our agricultural lands is important; as evident from the report there has been very thorough review of this project and I very supportive of it. I do have a couple questions for staff at Council to simply understand some of the research done And the subsequent policy conclusions. To see all appendices go to Council agenda and scroll down to 11.2.
As always deputations can be made. To do so please register at clerks@king.ca by noon on November 10 or If you prefer you can e-mail your comments to clerks@king.ca and they will be distributed to Council members and appropriate staff.
