Welcome to my blog! MY primary objective is to alert my constituents and others in King Township about issues being reviewed at the upcoming Council meetings. I do this as I believe the quality of Council decisions is enhanced when the public is engaged. I hope that residents will make deputations and/or send emails to Council to express their opinion and/or to ask important questions. Also, I include notice of meetings and events which I think are particularly important. I welcome your comments, whether you agree or not with me, and only edit to eliminate inappropriate language.

Tree Bylaw: feedback wanted!
Last day to provide feedback on the draft tree bylaw is Sept. 9; please provide your comments on speaking@king.ca. Staff will then be assessing feedback and will bring to Council a revised draft bylaw unless they should determine that there is more work to be done. New Guidebooks for King
In the last couple weeks there have been enclosures in the King Weekly Sentinel of King publications: 2019/20 Fall/Winter Community Guide and 2019 Residents Guide. If you did not receive or want another copies can be picked up at the Municipal Centre. And both are available on line.
Why is this road being paved?
New communication "tools" have been launched by Engineering & Public Works to inform residents and business about Township road projects. On king.ca you can see a listing of all projects for 2019: specifically which road segment and the rationale for doing the project. I do know that there is a process for making concrete which produces less GHG...I looked into it several years…
